Remembrance Day

Date: 13th Nov 2022 Author: Nigel Harris

Our Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers turned out in force, smartly dressed in full uniform and behaving beautifully, for today’s Remembrance Sunday service at All Saints Church.  Many thanks to all the leaders, young people, and the parents who made this possible.

Our flag carriers and their escorts did a perfect job of processing into and out of the church, and of standing watch, with their flags lowered in respect, over the wreath laying ceremony at the war memorial in the garden of remembrance.  We packed out several rows of the church with quiet, respectful, young people from six-year-old Beavers to sixteen-year-old Explorer Scouts.  This is one of two formal ‘must-attend’ events that happen each year, the other being the St George’s Day parade, which is organized jointly with other scout groups from the Esher district.
