Join the Group

We are the UK's biggest mixed youth organisation. We change lives by offering 6 to 18-year-olds fun and challenging activities, unique experiences, everyday adventure and the chance to help others so that we make a positive impact in communities.

Join the Group

We are open to boys and girls aged 6 to 18, and to adult volunteers of any age.

We’d love to give every young person in and around Weston Green the opportunity to join our exciting programme of weekly meetings, camps and other activities.  But there are limits to the numbers we can accommodate, we are perennially short of adult helpers, and we usually have over 100 young people on our waiting list.

We will give priority to young people whose parents are willing to give up some of their time to help the group by becoming a section assistant (not necessarily in the same section as their child), or joining our adult team in some other role, such as looking after our equipment or vehicles.  For more details, see our fast track scheme.

  • To offer your help as an adult volunteer, please fill out the form below.
  • To tell us about a young person who would like to join the group, and add their name to our waiting list, please click here.
  • If you want to apply for our fast track scheme, please contact our membership secretary.
  • If you are moving into the area and your child is invested in a scout group elsewhere, please contact our membership secretary.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
