Great to Get Back Together Again

Last week saw the Cubs back together in person for the first time since lockdown started.  Outdoors, in small groups, self-distancing and with lots of hand sanitiser!  At our second meeting of the term, the Cubs learned how to raise and lower our sturdy canvas tents while the light faded fast.  Much fun was had, as the “toc, toc, toc” of  wooden mallets hitting wooden pegs reverberated around Weston Green Common.  And not a single thumb was bashed!

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
