Cubs at SCRAM 2023

Date: 26th Jun 2023 Author: Nigel Harris

SCRAM is a one-day event for Cubs and Brownies that happens every three years.  It is arranged at county level, so around 2,000 Cubs and Brownies come along from all around Surrey for six hours of outdoor fun.  As well as centrally organized events and activities, each Cub pack and Brownie unit offers an activity, so there are dozens and dozens of things to try out.

Our “cub wash” activity, which involved buckets of water, sponges and human targets, proved immensely popular on a hot Saturday afternoon in June!

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
