Beavers Back Together Outdoors

Date: 5th May 2021 Author: Nigel Harris

Beavers have had a lovely time getting back to face-to-face meetings this term. We began with a litter pick on Weston Green common and in just 30 minutes collected this big black bag full of rubbish.  The stuff on the right isn’t rubbish but all the things we have to take outside with us for a Covid-safe outdoor meeting!

During the next meeting we used our problem-solving and team-working skills to build some structures using newspaper sticks.  Some were more successful than others!

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
